In the frame of the hackathon an **introduction on running ML models on JSC's HPC system**s will be offered. For the time of the hackathon we will provide **compute resources through HAICORE** to our participants. And the Helmholtz AI Consultant Team will guide you through the required steps on the supercomputer. Taking part can be a great first step in bringing your favorite research topic to the fastest computer in Europe.

The hackathon is a chance again to get to know FZJ’s ML researchers, their research questions and ML methods, and to get in contact with our Helmholtz AI Consultant Team. It will be 4 days of joint brainstorming on interesting ML problems and joint coding. Eventually, your model will be the baseline solution that has to be beaten in the finally released challenge.
The hackathon was also a chance again to get to know FZJ’s ML researchers, their research questions and ML methods, and to get in contact with our Helmholtz AI Consultant Team. We hope to see many of FZJ researchers at the hackathon. It will help us tremendously to bring forward this project and to finally release the Juelich Challenges to the public. It will increase our visibility as a hub for data science and machine learning.

The Juelich Challenges is a JULAIN initiative for 2 years now. It is recognized by our board of directors, and the hackathon was even announced in the institute’s directors meeting with a request to spread the word and to encourage young researchers to participate. Thus, don't hesitate to ask your working group leaders to participate in the hackathon for these 4 days.
