averaging of several timeseries at a station

The TOAR database contains stations with more than one timeseries:

• data from a physical instrument can be provided by two organizations (e.g. UBA (German) and EEA (European) or a switch of the data format is realized with a small overlap)
• a single station can have two or more instruments

To create a statistical relevant product, we need to adjust the weight of each station. We could merge all timeseries at a station before the statistical analysis. This timeseries merging is under development.

An alternative is to average the statistical aggregates at each station before gridding. This approach needs to be used carefully, similar to the gridding itself.
