+# Introduction  
+
+Jülich Pedestrian Simulator (`JuPedSim`) is an open source framework for simulating pedestrian dynamics. 
+
+This installer comes with four loosely coupled executables:
+
+- jpseditor: Geometry editor.
+- jpscore: The simulation core
+- jpsvis: Geometry and trajectories visualization tool
+- jpsreport: Implementation of different measurement methods to evaluate out of trajectories the density, 
+             the velocity and the flow.
+
+# Get started 
+
+The directory sample contains some project files to get you started. 
+Open a command line and call jpscore.exe with an inifile to start a simulation. 
+This should produce a trajectory file, which can be visualized by jpsvis.exe. 
+Besides, ou can open the geometry file with jpsvis.exe for visualisation or 
+with jpseditor for editing.
