# Introduction
Jülich Pedestrian Simulator (`JuPedSim`) is an open source framework for simulating pedestrian dynamics.
This installer comes with four loosely coupled executables:
- jpseditor: Geometry editor.
- jpscore: The simulation core
- jpsvis: Geometry and trajectories visualization tool
- jpsreport: Implementation of different measurement methods to evaluate out of trajectories the density,
the velocity and the flow.
# Get started
The directory sample contains some project files to get you started.
Open a command line and call jpscore.exe with an inifile to start a simulation.
This should produce a trajectory file, which can be visualized by jpsvis.exe.
Besides, ou can open the geometry file with jpsvis.exe for visualisation or
with jpseditor for editing.
